Sometimes palm trees aren’t planted by the water. Sometimes they’re living in a place where they don’t really belong. And for the most part, they thrive anyway.

They might be surrounded by concrete with weeds popping through, or lining a drive nowhere near the salty breeze. And yet they thrive.

They might experience frigid winter temperatures and have their fronds dusted in snow. A quick prune, and they thrive anyway.

They’re not native to so many places and yet they thrive. Blowing in the wind, bending, but not breaking.

Sometimes it feels like we’re out of place and we don’t belong. If that’s you friend, remember to be flexible and don’t be afraid of the pruning. You can stand tall and be beautiful too, no matter where you are.
