FAQs

Does God actually love us?

Yes, God loves every single one of us, and He really, really wants us to love each other. And the sweet news is that EVERYONE IS INCLUDED. John 3:16-17; Mark 12:31; James 2:8.

What about people I don’t agree with?

These are the people God wants us to love especially well.

If difficult people are thirsty, God wants us to share a drink…if they’re hungry, He says to feed them.

A helping hand? Exactly.

A smile? Yes.

A patient response? That too.

Kindness has a powerful purpose — it’s a tangible way people see God. When kindness melts away self-defense, we experience the genuine goodness of God through another person’s actions. We can see straight through to God’s heart. And that’s a pretty cool place to be. Proverbs 25:21-22.

Yikes! This is asking a lot.

It’s easy for us to happily receive what God did for us; it’s those “other” people in my life that are a pain in the *%#.

Here’s the thing — when we look at people, we’re looking at God’s face. Just like you, that person is also made in the image of God. When you’re looking at them, you’re looking at Him. So, when our hearts run to judge and criticize, remember that God made them. And God takes how we treat people very seriously, so it’s good to check ourselves here. Genesis 1:26-27; Numbers 12.

How can I have more faith in God?

Reading the Bible for yourself will radically transform your life. God promises our faith will grow as we do our little part by simply reading the Word. But it seems too long, or too hard, or too blah-blah? I promise you, it’s ACTUALLY the way to be fully convinced of God’s goodness.

And don’t worry if you’re not exactly sure what God is up to in your life — we’re always growing and learning, and that’s good. You can be 100% sure that your faith will grow + God will produce fruit in your life when you read the Bible. Romans 10:17; Hebrews 4:12; Isaiah 55.

What’s important to God?

God wants us to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves.

But what does love REALLY mean?

God reminds us when we show love to other people, we’re showing love to Him. Pretty simple, right? It’s loving and helping the stranger; clothing the weak; visiting the sick, orphaned, and widowed; feeding hungry people and giving them a drink; and meeting with the prisoner.

He wants us to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with Him. Mark 12:29-31; Matthew 25:34-40; Exodus 23:9; James 1:27; Micah 6:8.

I’m thirsty.

If you thirst + want a relationship with God, know that Christ died for you.

He says “Come,” because His work is already finished. He’ll meet you wherever you are.

If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. John 7:37-38.
