God doesn’t speak to me.
God doesn’t speak to me. It’s easy to think this when we’re spinning.
We feel alone + afraid. Maybe we’re trying to control our emotions, but past traumas have a way of dragging us under. And we’re trying to stop, but it’s hard.
It’s hard to stop ourselves from going back to old patterns. And we would give anything to hear God’s voice telling us which way to go + how to do it.
Sometimes we overcomplicate hearing from God. Maybe He’s already speaking to you, friend.
Is your heart burning within you?
Are you feeling an internal pull leading you, reminding you Who you belong to?
Do you read the Word + it jumps out at you?
Do you hear a song + your spirit rises up?
Do you see the reflection of God’s love in someone else’s eyes?
We see other people light footed, seemingly underwhelmed with life, and we wonder how. How do they know which direction to go? How do they know which decision to make?
But maybe they’re just listening to the Spirit that flows through each of our lives.
There’s no exclusivity here.
God wants to pour this out to all of us.
So, be free friend + breathe.
Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight. And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” Luke 24:31-32
