Have you ever felt like Lazarus? Dead + buried for 4 days, when Jesus says, “Lazarus, come out!”

Man, what a day! He literally brought Lazarus back to life.

What would you think if you saw this happen?

Maybe we have a hard time imagining this actually happening. But Jesus does the same thing for us, when we believe.

He raises us from the dead, He resurrects our lives.

And what do we think is next — joy, an easy life, peace? That’s not what happened with Lazarus.

John 12:10-11 tells us “But the chief priests plotted to put Lazarus to death also, because on account of him many of the Jews went away and believed in Jesus.”

Many went away + believed in Jesus.

Is that what happens when people see our lives?

Do they see evidence of Jesus’ hand resurrecting us?

Do they go away + believe in Jesus?

Friend, we all play a part in saving the world. Some big, some small. All a part nonetheless. Lifting you up today — press into that one thing Jesus is showing you, so more will go away + believe.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:17
