When anger rules

And hatred festers

When unforgiveness drains

The Light is hidden

Tucked inside

And not allowed to reign

A blanket falls

Around our life

Concealing who He is

We know the One

And yet He’s hidden

Underneath our will

We’ve kept Him ours

And no one else’s

It’s all about control

He came for us

To bring us home

To shine for all to see

Why then a heart

Who but withholds

The love that set us free

He says come here

And sit a while

He says come sit with Me

A place where love

And Light be found

A place right here with Me

I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart; I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth from the great assembly. Psalm 40:10
