nothing wrong

Arguments suck. As an enneagram 9, I avoid them at all cost, lol. But sometimes they just can’t be avoided. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Does conflict mean our relationship is over? As a 9, sometimes it feels that way.

27 years ago, my husband + I agreed to not threaten divorce, and it’s worked for us so far.

We actually don’t argue very often, but when we do, it can get ugly.

And all I can think is how are we going to get through this? When we’ve been offended, it’s easy to draw a line in the sand and hold our ground.

But it’s not really that helpful.

So, ask yourself, what’s my goal? If it’s reconciliation, and restoration, and a continued relationship, then it’s good to ask one more question.

Lord, will You show me one thing I did wrong?

If your heart is open to hearing His answer, I promise you, He’ll show you — even when we think we did nothing wrong. And with that one thing, maybe you can see your part, however small it is. Maybe you can come to the one you love with a heart to restore, and ask forgiveness for that one thing.

It’s a start.

And it has a magical way of creating space for reconciliation.
